|        Chuck Mattingly 
                started in the Collision Repair Business in 1965 at a local Ford 
                dealership known as "Jack Thrasher Ford". During his 
                employment of 15 years with the company he was a painter, painting 
                approximately 17,000 vehicles. In 1978, he 
                purchased what was known in the Terre Haute area as "Loehman's 
                Body Shop". During his first year of ownership, he revamped 
                the business, ended his employment with Ford and in 1979, officially 
                opened for business as "Mattingly Body Shop", His goal 
                was to become a major player in the collision repair industry 
                around the Wabash valley as well 
                as the state of Indiana. In April 2001, twenty-two years later, 
                a second location was opened at 3101 Erie Canal Road. At that 
                time, the business was incorporated and became Mattingly Collision 
                Center North and Mattingly Collision Center South. 
                  Chuck Mattingly is an ASE Certified Master 
                Collision and Refinish Tech as well as I-Car 
                Certified with training in air bags, suspension, refinish, unibody, 
                plastic repair and damage analysis, He serves on the advisory 
                board for the Vigo County School Corporation, Ivy Tech College 
                and Vincennes University. He also served as district 
                chairman with I-Car, training numerous collision repair techs 
                in the Wabash Valley. 
                  Since opening in 1979, Mattingly Collision 
                Center North has grown from 4000 sq. ft. to a 16,000 sq. ft. shop. 
                The north location's five frame machines and two paint booths. 
                The south location spans a total of 4500 sq. ft and is equipped with 
                two frame machines and one paint booth, With well over 200 years 
                combined experience at Mattingly Collision Center, the employees 
                are continually upgrading their education to stay on top of the 
                latest technology pertaining to the industry and to service the 
                public with the best workmanship in the Wabash Valley.
